Rajmahal Hotel

The Rajmahal Hotel is located over in Andheri East. We’ve been here for some time now, just managing the day-to-day operations. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the street and people moving about. We aren't a massive chain or anything like that. It’s just a building where we provide rooms for people who need a place to stay while they are in town. Running a hotel in Andheri East keeps us on our toes because things are always breaking or needing a bit of paint. We spend a lot of time checking the pipes and making sure the lights work. It is just basic work, nothing too complicated. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from cleaning to talking to guests at the front. The lobby isn't huge but it serves its purpose. We don't have fancy uniforms or big slogans. We just show up every morning and get to work. Some days are better than others, especially when the traffic outside gets really bad. We’ve seen a lot of people come through these doors over the years. Most stay for a night or two and then head back to the airport or the station. It is a practical spot for anyone who just needs a bed in this part of Andheri.
