Rajendra Jewellers

If you find yourself in Mahalaxmi, right across from the Magen Hasidim Synagogue, that’s where you’ll find our shop. We are in the New Agakhand Building at number 8. It’s a busy area, lots of people walking by all the time. Rajendra Jewellers has been sitting here for years, watching the street change. Inside, it’s mostly glass cases and the sound of the fan overhead. We aren't one of those big, bright jewelry chains you see in the malls. This is a local spot. My family has been doing this for a long time. We have our regulars who come in for small repairs or just to see what’s new in the cases. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. The building itself is older, but it has character. Being opposite the synagogue makes us easy to find, which is good because the streets around here can get confusing. We don't spend much on advertising. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or cousins. We keep the counters wiped down and the gold polished. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up at night. It’s just a small shop where we try to be helpful and get the job done right. We like the neighborhood feel of Mahalaxmi. It is home for us and our business.
