Rainbow Womens Hospital

Our hospital is located in the A wing of the Swami Shivanand Society, right on Chakala Road in Andheri East. If you know the area, we’re pretty close to the old cigarette factory, which is how most people find their way here. Being on the first floor makes it easy for folks who don't want to wait for the elevator. The neighborhood is typical for Mumbai—always noisy, always moving, and usually a bit dusty from the road work nearby. Inside, the hospital is a bit of a contrast to the outside chaos. We have our wards and rooms set up in a way that makes sense for the space we have. It’s an older building, so it has some character, like the heavy doors and the way the light comes through the windows in the afternoon. We focus on women’s health, so we see a lot of families and expectant mothers coming through. The waiting room is usually full, and there’s often the sound of a TV playing in the background to keep people occupied. Our staff is used to the fast pace of Andheri. We don't have a fancy cafe or anything; people usually just grab a tea from the stall outside the gate. It’s a down-to-earth place where we just get on with our daily routines. We’ve been part of this society for a long time and know the neighbors well. It’s just our corner of the city.
