My brother and I have been running Rahi Electronics here in Borivali West for quite a few years now. The shop is at 1/2, 3/16, which isn't the biggest spot, but it fits everything we need. Most days start with us opening up the shutters around ten and checking what repairs are waiting from the day before. It gets a bit crowded when people bring in their old TVs or music players that stopped working. We spend a lot of time just looking at wires and circuit boards. Borivali is always busy, so there is usually noise from the street outside, but we got used to it. Sometimes the tea stall guy next door brings us some cutting chai while we work. We don't really have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a lot of shelves filled with parts and some new stuff we sell. People from the nearby buildings come in mostly for small things like remote batteries or when their mixer-grinder breaks down. It's a simple way to make a living. We try to keep things moving so the back room doesn't get too piled up with junk. Sometimes it's hard to find a specific part for an old model, but we usually manage to figure something out eventually. The rain makes the shop a bit damp in July, but that is just how it is around here. We just keep doing what we do every day.
