Rachna Design Studio

Our place is at 19, Gayatri Niwas, right on Zaver Road in Mulund West. It is a bit of a walk from the station but the neighborhood is lively. We have been here for a good while now, working out of this design studio. The space isn’t very big, mostly just some old desks and a few computers that have seen better days. You will often see rolls of paper and sketches lying around on every available surface. It gets a little messy when we are busy, but we know where everything is. The tea seller at the corner brings us cutting chai twice a day, which helps when we have to stay late. It is not some fancy corporate office with a big lobby. We are just a small team of people who like to draw and plan things. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Zaver Road gets inside, but we just turn up the radio and keep going. People from the area stop by to ask for advice or just to say hello. We don’t have a formal way of doing things, we just talk to whoever comes in and see what they need. It is a simple life here in Mulund, and we are happy with how things are. We try to be practical about our work and not overcomplicate things. It is just a regular day-to-day business for us, nothing more and nothing less.
