We are located in the Ashapura Industrial Estate, specifically Phase 4 of the GIDC in Malad West. It’s near Pavan Baug, which is a landmark most people in the area use. Our unit is number 22. Engineering is what we do, and it’s usually greasy work. The floor is never quite clean, no matter how much we sweep. We have various machines running most of the time. Sometimes a part takes longer than we thought, so we stay late under the tube lights. It’s not a quiet place to work. You have the sound of neighbors in the estate and the trucks moving in and out. We spend our days measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. We don't have a receptionist; you just walk in and find one of us near the lathes. It’s a practical setup. We’ve seen the estate change over the years, but our shop stays much the same. We take on whatever mechanical jobs come our way. Sometimes it’s a small fix for a local guy, other times it’s a bigger batch of parts. We just try to get the work done without making a fuss about it. The commute to Malad can be a pain, but once we’re at the estate, it’s all about the machines and getting the measurements right.
