We are situated on L Nappo Road in Mumbai, right in the heart of everything. Being in this city means there is always noise from the traffic outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. The R. N. Ruia College building has a lot of history to it. You can see it in the stone walls and the old staircases that have been worn down by thousands of students walking up and down them. The classrooms are often packed, especially for the popular subjects. We have a canteen that is usually the loudest place on campus, full of students eating and talking at the same time. The administrative office is always busy with someone asking about forms or exam dates. It’s a very fast-paced environment because that’s just how Mumbai is. We have a library that stays pretty quiet, which is a nice break from the street noise outside. The faculty here have their own small cabins or shared rooms filled with books and old files. It’s not a polished corporate campus; it’s a real place where people are trying to learn and get through their courses. We deal with the usual city problems like the heavy rains in July that sometimes make it hard to get to class on time. But the gates stay open and the lectures keep happening. It’s just how things go here on L Nappo Road. We've been part of this street for a very long time.
