R K Mehandi

R K Mehandi is tucked away in Borivali West, down at LG 39. If you know the area, you know how busy the shopping spots can get. We are in one of those lower ground units where there’s always people walking by looking for something. We’ve been doing mehandi for a long time. It started as something simple and just grew as more people started coming to us. Our shop isn’t very big, but it’s got everything we need. We have the cones, the designs spread out on the table, and a few chairs for people to sit while we work on their hands. It’s a bit of a small space, and sometimes it gets quite warm when the mall is full, but we enjoy the atmosphere. Applying mehandi is about patience and having a steady hand. We don't rush through it just to get to the next person. We like to take our time and talk to our customers. Many people come to us for weddings or festivals, and it’s nice to hear their stories while we work. Borivali West has a lot of energy, and we are happy to be a part of the local market scene. We don’t do big advertising. Most people just see our shop while they are out shopping or hear about us from their friends. We just keep our heads down and focus on making sure every design looks right. It is hard work but it is what we love.
