We’ve been running R J R Electronics here at Dharavi 705 for a good while now. It’s a small place, mostly just busy with repairs and people coming in and out all day. The shop is tucked away but folks usually find us when something stops working at home. I spend most of my time behind the counter or working on circuit boards. It gets a bit loud with the street noise right outside, but that is just how it is in this part of town. Sometimes the light inside isn't great, so I have to use a desk lamp to see the tiny parts. People from the neighborhood bring in their radios, televisions, or whatever else is acting up. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that, just the shop front. It's mostly just me and a bit of help when things get really backed up. There are wires and tools all over the workbench. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. Usually, people just drop things off and come back later in the week to see if it’s fixed. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. If you are looking for the shop, just head toward the 705 area in Dharavi and look for the sign. We keep the doors open most of the day unless it's raining really hard. It’s a simple living, but it keeps us busy enough.
