R G Printers

R G Printers is located in Dharavi, specifically at Shop Number 5 in Row K, Flat Number 12. If you know the area, you know how busy and cramped it can be, but there is an energy here that you don't find anywhere else. Our shop is small, and we have to be very careful with how we use the space because the printing machines take up a lot of room. There is always the smell of ink and the sound of paper feeding through the rollers. We handle all sorts of small printing jobs for the people and businesses nearby. It gets quite warm in here with the machines running all day, so we usually have the door wide open to let some air in. You can hear the noise from the street constantly—people talking, carts moving, and the general hum of Dharavi life. We keep stacks of paper and boxes of finished work wherever they will fit. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze getting around the equipment. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know where we are or they see the shop as they walk past Row K. It’s a basic setup, but we get the orders out on time. Working here keeps us very busy, and there’s always something new to print or a machine that needs a quick fix.
