R D Chemist

The shop is number 11 on the ground floor. We are located in the Pati area of Mulund West, right on Airport Road. It is quite easy to find us because we are directly opposite the Shanti Industrial Estate. It is a typical chemist shop with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a small ladder to get to some of the stuff. Most of our days are spent talking to the neighbors who come in for their regular medicine. We know most of them by name and know what they usually need. It gets busy in the evenings when people are heading home from the station. The neon sign outside flickers a bit, but we haven't gotten around to calling the electrician yet. We keep a lot of stock in the back room, which is a bit of a maze. The floor is old tile that we sweep a few times a day to keep it looking decent. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns behind the counter. It is a quiet life in Mulund, and we like being part of the neighborhood. We don’t do anything fancy, we just make sure we have what people are looking for. Sometimes we have to tell people we’re out of something, which is always a bit annoying, but we try to get it in by the next day.
