You can find R B Masurkar & Co over at the Veer Mahal Building, right near the post office in Parel. We are at number 16, which is an old spot but it works for us. The building has that classic old Mumbai feel with high ceilings, and it is usually quite busy around Kemps Corner. Our daily routine involves a lot of paperwork, filing, and checking documents. It is the kind of place where you will see stacks of folders and yellowed papers on almost every surface. We have been in this location for a long time, so we have seen the Parel neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. The office itself is very traditional, with no fancy modern furniture or open-plan layouts. We just have our heavy wooden desks and metal cabinets where everything is kept in order. People come by to get their taxes sorted or to ask questions about their legal papers. It is a lot of sitting and calculating, making sure all the figures match up correctly. Sometimes the traffic outside on the main road is so loud we have to close the windows, but then it gets a bit stuffy inside. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It is a practical, no-nonsense place to work.
