Our office is at 59, Dadiseth Agiary Lane in the Kalbadevi area of Mumbai. If you know this part of the city, you know how narrow and crowded the lanes can get. It’s a very old part of town, full of history and old buildings. We are right in the middle of it all. The building we are in has been around for decades. It has high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of breeze if the weather is right. We’ve got our desks set up and piles of papers everywhere because that’s just the nature of what we do. It’s not a modern glass-and-steel office. It’s more of a traditional Mumbai workspace. We’ve been here for a long time and we know the neighbors well. Most days involve a lot of reading and writing. It can get pretty hot in the summer, but we have fans going to keep us cool. The pin code is 400002, which is right in the heart of the old city. We don't have any fancy reception area. You just walk in and see us working. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We like the energy of Kalbadevi, even with all the noise from the street below. There’s always a chai wallah nearby if we need a break. It’s a simple, honest place where we just focus on getting through our files and helping out whoever comes to the door. We aren't interested in being flashy.
