Qurrat Beauty Salon

Our shop is at number 12/A in Park Paradise, over in Oshiwara. If you know where Green Park is or the Deep Tower, we are right there opposite them, just off Lokhandwala. It’s a nice little corner of Mumbai to be in. We’ve been running Qurrat Beauty Salon for a few years now. We handle mostly the basic things like threading, facials, and hair coloring. It isn't a massive space, so it feels quite private when you are inside. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, one of us just looks up from a chair and says hello. The neighborhood people are our main customers. We see the same faces every month. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life here. We keep our tools clean and our mirrors bright. We don't spend money on big ads because word of mouth works better for us. People tell their sisters or their neighbors about us. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, maybe a bit cluttered with bottles and towels sometimes, but it’s homey. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer to walk in. It’s a simple way to run a business. If you are near Lokhandwala, you can just stop by and see if we have time.
