Quality Engineers

This is Quality Engineers over in Bhandup West. We are located at B 18, which isn't the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but we've been here long enough that the regulars know the way. Bhandup is a busy place, always something happening on the streets. We do engineering work, mostly small projects and parts that people need. Our shop isn't very large, just enough space for the equipment and a couple of us to move around without bumping into each other too much. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad, though in Mumbai, it’s always a bit warm. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we really have to. Most of the day is spent with tools in our hands. People ask why we don't move to a bigger factory, but B 18 suits us just fine for now. It’s close to the station and easy for getting materials delivered. We don't have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just take the drawings or the parts people bring in and try to make them work. Sometimes things go smoothly, sometimes they take a bit longer than we thought. That’s just the way engineering goes. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years and plan to stay here for a while yet. It’s just our way of life, and we are quite content with the work we do here.
