Pruthviraj Printers

At Pruthviraj Printers, we are located in Room No 5, which is part of Chawl No 26 in Dadar East. It’s situated right behind the Shiv Sena Shaka, which is the main landmark we tell people to look for. The space is small, like most of the rooms around here, but we’ve managed to fit our printing machines inside. It gets pretty loud and vibrates a bit when everything is running at once. There’s always the scent of fresh ink in the air and stacks of paper waiting to be trimmed or packed. We’ve been here in the Nagu area for a long time now. Locals from the neighborhood just drop in when they have something they need printed. Our walls have a few old calendars and some proofs from past jobs pinned up. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or a fancy waiting area. Usually, you just stand by the door or grab a stool if one is free while we talk about what you need. The light isn’t great in the back of the room, so we’ve got a couple of extra bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Working in a chawl means you’re always chatting with the people living or working next door. It’s a real community vibe in Dadar East. We start our day early and sometimes stay late to finish a big pile of work. It’s all very manual and hands-on, just keeping the machines going and checking the paper.
