Pruthvi Hospital

If you know Malad West, you know how SV Road gets. It’s a constant stream of cars and people. Pruthvi Hospital is right there on the first floor of Somaiya Chambers. If you look out the window, you can see the Metro Shoes shop right across the way. It’s a busy spot to be. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while now. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit steep for some, but we have the elevator too. Inside, it’s just a normal hospital setup. We have the reception area where the files are kept in big stacks. The hallway leads back to the rooms and the small lab area. It’s not the quietest place because of the traffic noise from SV Road, but you get used to it after a few days. We see a lot of local folks from the neighborhood. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the weather or the cricket scores, but other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn down in the spots where people walk the most. We don’t have fancy decorations or big signs. Just the name on the door and the work we do every day. It’s a lot of cleaning, checking temperatures, and writing things down in notebooks. That’s just how it is.
