We’re over at Tamarind House on Tamarind Lane. If you’re familiar with the Fort area in Mumbai, you know how these old buildings have a lot of character. Our address is A-9, and the building itself is one of those classic spots that make the neighborhood feel like old-world Mumbai. It’s a busy place. Getting to the office means navigating some narrow lanes and dodging crowds, but once you’re inside, the high ceilings help make the space feel a bit more open. We run the school and junior college from here, using the rooms we have across the floor. It’s not some modern campus with grass and playgrounds; it’s a city school through and through. The hallways are often filled with the sound of students talking between classes, and the staff is usually busy with the usual administrative work. We take the stairs quite often because the elevator can be a bit temperamental sometimes. That’s just part of life in an older Mumbai building. Outside our doors, the street is always active with vendors and people heading to work. We’ve been here for a good while, and while it’s not the quietest location, it’s right where we need to be. We just focus on keeping the day-to-day operations going without making things more complicated than they need to be. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, but the students and the staff make it work regardless.
