Prospect Design

We are over here in Bandra West, tucked into the Prospect Bungalow. If you know where Mudd Beauty Spa is, we are just right across from there. It’s an old place, and sometimes the roof leaks a bit when the monsoon gets really heavy, but it has a lot of character. We spend most of our days sitting at these large wooden desks covered in sketches and scrap paper. There is always a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. The bungalow feels different from those shiny new office buildings you see popping up everywhere. It’s quiet enough that you can actually hear yourself think, though the traffic on the main road can get loud during rush hour. We don’t really do fancy presentations or anything like that. Mostly, we just sit down with people and look at what needs doing. The walls are lined with samples of materials and old projects we finished years ago. People sometimes walk in thinking we are part of the spa, and we have to point them the right way. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. Files are stacked up, and there’s always someone looking for a missing ruler or a specific pen. We like it this way though. It feels like a real workspace where things actually get built and figured out. Just a group of us trying to make sense of designs in a comfortable old house.
