Being in a shopping arcade means there’s always people walking by and plenty of noise from the street below. Our office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of files and old equipment manuals taking up space on the shelves. We deal with industrial plants and heavy equipment, so there’s a lot of coordination involved between our suppliers and the people on the ground at the job sites. It’s mostly phone calls and emails all day long. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is good for a bit of exercise I suppose. The staff here has been together for a while, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We aren’t big on fancy meetings; we usually just talk across the desks to get things sorted out. Lokhandwala is a lively place to be, and there are plenty of small stalls nearby where we grab a quick snack or a glass of hot tea in the afternoon. It’s a straightforward office environment where we just try to manage the logistics of big machinery without getting too stressed about the chaos of the city outside.
