Project Engg

You can find Project Engg over on A. K. Mohammed Siddique Lane in Kolkata. It’s a typical narrow street in this part of the city, 700016, where space is a bit tight but there’s a lot of life happening all around. Our office is in one of those older buildings that has high ceilings and thick walls, which helps keep it a bit cooler when the Kolkata humidity starts to climb. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, shelves full of technical binders, and a lot of rolled-up drawings that we haven't found a better place for yet. We spend our hours doing engineering work, which involves a lot of looking at fine lines and numbers on a screen. It’s not a flashy environment at all, and the furniture is definitely more about being useful than looking good. We often hear the sounds of the lane coming through the windows, the bells of cycles and people talking as they pass by. Lunch usually comes from one of the nearby shops, and we eat right at our desks most days. There isn't any corporate polish here, just a bunch of people who know their way around engineering problems. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy lobby, just a door that leads into our workspace where we get things done. It’s been our base for a while now, and we’ve grown to like the cramped but busy feel of the area.
