Prince Telecom sits right on Princess Street MMDC near the Chd Kalka Road in Sector 5. We are at number 213. It is a busy spot, especially with the Kalka Road traffic nearby. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself. It is not always easy. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit in the dark for a bit talking to whoever is in the shop. We do recharges, sell some phones, and fix what we can. The workspace in the back is a bit cluttered with wires and old batteries. I should probably organize it, but I always know where everything is. The neighbors are good people, we keep an eye on each other’s shops. We don't have a marketing department or anything. I just write the prices on a small chalkboard. Simple is better for us. People come in with all sorts of problems with their gadgets. Some are easy to fix, some are not. We just tell them straight. There is no point in making things sound more complicated than they are. My chair squeaks every time I lean back, which usually makes the customers laugh. It’s a small life but it’s ours. We open early because that’s when the commuters are around. We stay open until the street lights come on and things quiet down. It’s enough.
