Prince Aly Khan Hospital

Being over on Nesbit Road, we are right in the thick of things. Aga Hall is the landmark most people use to find us. It’s a busy spot in the city. The hospital has been a part of this landscape for decades. I’ve worked here for a bit now, and you just get into a rhythm. The mornings start early with people queuing up outside. We have the usual hospital stuff going on like clinics, wards, and the emergency entrance that stays busy all through the night. Nesbit Road can get quite congested with all the cars and bikes. Inside the walls, it is a bit calmer, but not by much. We try to keep the halls clear, but it is a struggle when it is peak hours. The staff is a mix of old-timers and some younger folks just starting out. We use the old Aga Hall area as a reference point for everything. It is a functional building. We do not spend much time on decorations or anything like that. It is all about the patients. You see a lot of families waiting around, sharing food or just sitting quietly in the corners. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the hospital stays pretty much the same. It is a reliable place for the local folks. We just keep the lights on and keep working through the shifts, day in and day out.
