Prince Ali Khan Hospital

We are located right in Byculla. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always moving. The hospital is a staple here. It’s been sitting in Byculla for a long time. People usually find us easily because everyone knows the name. It’s a bit of an old-school area. The building itself shows its age in some spots, but we keep it clean enough. Working here means you see a lot of different things. Byculla is a melting pot, so we get people from all walks of life walking through those doors. Some days are quieter than others, but mostly it is just constant movement. We have a lot of nurses and doctors who have lived in the area their whole lives. It feels like a small community inside a big city. The parking can be a real headache, to be honest. Most people just take the train or a rickshaw to get to us. Inside, it is just a hospital. You have the smell of antiseptic and the sound of trolleys rolling on the floors. We do not have those fancy lobbies like the new private clinics you see in the papers, but we have enough beds and people who know what they are doing. It is a practical place. We focus on getting people sorted out. After a long shift, we usually head out into the Byculla noise. It is just home for us and the work we do every day.
