Our office is at 66 Dana Bunder in Popular Nagar, inside the Ambica Terrace building. We are in the transport business, which means our life revolves around trucks and schedules. It is a very busy and sometimes loud place to work. We have papers and delivery notes scattered all over the desks. The office doesn't look like much, just some old chairs and a few cupboards for the files. Dana Bunder is a place where there is always some loading or unloading happening. You can hear the big engines idling outside all through the day. I spend my time talking to the drivers and making sure they know which route to take. It is a tough job because of the traffic and the long distances involved. The walls of our office are a bit stained from years of work, and the furniture is quite old. We don't have any fancy technology to track the trucks, just a lot of phone calls and trust. My tea gets cold because the phone never stops ringing. It's not a polished corporate environment. There is always the smell of grease and diesel in the air. We've been doing this for a long time and we know the roads pretty well. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the goods moving across the country. It’s hard work, but it is what we do.
