Preeti Painting Class

Preeti runs these painting classes in Mulund West. The room is number 8 in the A Wing of Mayurpankh. It’s a cozy space that smells like oil paint and turpentine most of the time. We are quite close to Navbharat School, so a lot of students come by after their regular classes are over. The room is filled with canvases, some finished and some just started. There are jars of brushes everywhere and splatters of paint on the floor. It’s a place where people can just sit and create something. Preeti spends her time showing how to hold a brush or mix colors. It isn't a high-tech art studio; it’s just a room where people learn. We have kids and adults coming in at different times of the day. The building is a typical residential one, so it feels very local and safe. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy, but nobody seems to mind once they start painting. We don't have any big awards or fancy gallery connections. It’s just about the craft and enjoying the process. People find out about the classes from the neighbors or seeing the small board near the gate. It’s a simple, honest way to share a bit of art with the neighborhood. There’s always music playing softly in the background while everyone works on their own little project. It's a nice way to spend an afternoon and forget the busy world outside.
