Precise Calibration Centre

Working out of Shiv Apartment on Mahim S V Road means we are always right in the middle of the traffic and the noise. Our lab is up on the 4th floor, in room 402, where it’s a bit quieter so we can actually focus on the instruments. Calibration is funny work because you have to be really patient and wait for the readings to settle. We have all these different tools and weights sitting around, and everything has its own spot on the shelf. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see fancy decorations on the walls. Instead, we have charts and technical manuals everywhere. The S V Road outside is always humming with cars, but inside we are usually just looking at screens or adjusting small dials. Sometimes people find it hard to find the entrance to the building because of the shops downstairs, but once you’re up here, it’s a different world. We spend a lot of time making sure our own equipment is right before we even look at anyone else’s stuff. It’s a lot of repetitive checking, but that’s the only way to do it. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how these machines work. It can get a bit technical, but at the end of the day, it's just about making sure a number is actually what it says it is. It's quiet, careful work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
