We are based in room 305 at Loha Bhavan on Masjid Bunder Road. Being in this building means we are right in the heart of the old trading district. It gets pretty loud and dusty, but you get used to the rhythm of the area after a few weeks. We spend our days coordinating orders and talking to people about transformers or switchgear requirements. The elevator in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs. It is not a modern corporate park; it is a working building for people who deal in hardware and electrical goods. We keep the windows shut to block out some of the noise from Masjid Bunder Road, but the sounds of the market always find a way in. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly how we like our drinks during the afternoon break. It’s a simple setup, focusing on getting the right electrical parts to the right people without any unnecessary complications or fluff. We just keep track of the stock and make sure the deliveries go out to the sites.
