We’ve been based in the Patuck Press Building for a good while now. Kalachowki is one of those busy parts of town where there is always something going on outside the windows. It’s not a fancy corporate setup or anything like that. We just have our desks and our equipment set up here near Manik Baug. Some mornings the traffic on the road is pretty loud, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We are mostly just a group of people who show up and do the work that needs doing. There is a lot of paperwork usually, and the phones ring more than we’d like sometimes. The building itself is older, which gives it a bit of character I suppose. We don't have a big reception desk or a bunch of people in suits. It’s more likely you’ll see us in jeans just trying to get through the to-do list. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells tea downstairs. Sometimes we get pretty busy and the office looks a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical space. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the jobs are finished. We’ve stayed in this spot because it works for us. It’s central enough and everyone knows the landmark. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. That’s basically the deal with us here in the city.
