Pravin Kumar & Co

Pravin Kumar & Co is located at 19 Shamseth Street. We are inside the Madhok Complex, specifically the Madhok Trade X part. It is right opposite the Dubhash Marketaa, so there is always a lot of activity with loaders and trucks coming in and out all day long. Shamseth Street is one of those places where business has been done the same way for decades. Our office is functional, nothing too special to look at. We have shelves full of ledgers and documents because we handle a lot of trade paperwork. It’s a bit of a maze inside the complex, but once you find us, it’s pretty relaxed. We deal with various trading activities and wholesale bits. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. The market across the street, Dubhash Marketaa, is where most of the action is, and we sit here and manage the backend of things. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the other traders in the building. It’s a community. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just know us from being in the trade for so long. It is a practical life, focused on numbers and making sure the goods move from one place to another correctly. We've been here for a long time and don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
