Prakash Dugdha Mandir

We are located in Building No 144, Narayan Sadan, on V P Road in Girgaon. It’s right across from the Phadke Ganpati Temple, which is a very busy spot in this part of Mumbai. We’ve been in the 400004 area for a long time. Our business is mostly about milk and milk products. Every morning, the milk cans arrive early, and we start our day. It’s a small shop, and space is tight like everywhere else in Girgaon. We have our regulars who come in every single day for their curd or sweets. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just the counter and the fridge. Sometimes the street outside is so crowded with people going to the temple that it's hard to even walk. We just stay behind the counter and keep serving. We make some of our own sweets in the back, and the smell of boiling milk is always there. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get to it. We know the families around here, and we've seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own homes. It’s a simple life. We don't do anything fancy, we just make sure the milk is fresh and the shop is open on time. Dealing with the Mumbai humidity and the crowds is just part of the job.
