My place is Flat No D/11 in the Sahar Cooperative society. It's in the Koldongri area of Andheri East, right across from the diagonal crossing of the old Bahaar Cinema. People who have lived in Andheri for a long time still use the cinema as a landmark even though things have changed. I’ve been working from this flat for a while now. It’s a quiet residential society, which is nice because it keeps the distractions down. I don't have a big team or a fancy storefront. It’s just me and a couple of helpers sometimes. The room I use for work is filled with files and books. It’s not the most organized space, but I know where everything is. I didn't want to rent a big commercial office because this works just fine for what I do. Most of my clients are people from the neighborhood or friends of friends. We sit in the living room and talk through whatever needs to be done. There’s no pressure here, and no corporate vibe. I just handle the work as it comes in. Sometimes I work late into the night when it's peaceful outside. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it’s how I’ve always preferred it. No big slogans or promises, just honest work from a small home office. I usually answer the door myself when someone knocks.
