Pradeep Art Printers

Our printing shop is located at A 51 in Kalachowki, specifically in the Khedekar Chawl area. It’s a traditional kind of place. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of ink and the rhythmic sound of the printing machines. We’ve been at this for a long time. Pradeep Art Printers is a small setup, and we like it that way. Most of the space is taken up by paper stocks and the machines themselves, so there isn’t much room to walk around. We do a lot of local work for people in the neighborhood. It’s the kind of business where we know most of our customers by name. Living and working in a chawl means you’re always around people. There’s a lot of noise and activity outside, which we’ve just become part of. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. The work comes in because people know where we are and what we do. We spend our days checking proofs and making sure the colors look okay. It’s messy work sometimes, and we usually end the day with ink on our hands. We don’t have regular office hours in the strict sense; we just stay until the current run is finished. It’s a simple, local business and we take things one day at a time without much fuss or overthinking. The old machines still run fine if you treat them right.
