Powder Pack Chem, Mumbai

Powder Pack Chem is located in one of the oldest parts of Mumbai. We are at 419-F Kalbadevi Road, inside Joshi Wadi. Our office is on the second floor in Room No-7. If you have ever been to Kalbadevi, you know how narrow the lanes are. It is a struggle just to walk through sometimes with all the handcarts and people. Our building is quite old and the stairs are steep. We have been here for many years, tucked away in this little room. It is full of files and samples of different powders. We don't have air conditioning that works all the time, so we keep the windows open. The noise from the street below never really stops. We do our business the old-fashioned way. A lot of it is just face-to-face talk and handwritten notes. We know most of the other traders in the building. It is a community where a handshake still means something. We don't have a website that looks like a million bucks. We just have our reputation in the market. Dealing with chemicals in such a crowded place is a challenge, but we have our system. We stay busy from morning till evening. It’s a bit dusty and cramped, but it is our workspace and we are used to it. We just keep moving forward, one order at a time.
