Popular Restaurant

This little restaurant is tucked away at 199 Bhaba Chawl on Khetwadi Back Road. We are right in the Opera House area, sitting just behind Harkisandas Hospital and next to the Parsi Temple. It’s a very old part of Mumbai, and the streets are narrow and always full of people. Most of our customers come from the hospital or they are locals who live in the chawls around here. The space inside is small, so you might end up sharing a table with a stranger if it’s lunch time. We don't have a big menu, just the usual stuff that people like to eat every day. The kitchen is right there, and you can smell whatever is cooking as soon as you walk in. Being next to the temple means it’s a bit quieter on that side, but the street noise from the Opera House side never really stops. We’ve been here a long time, and the walls show it, but we keep the tables wiped down and the water jugs filled. It is a humble spot where you can get a quick meal without spending much money. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor; it’s just chairs, tables, and good food. People know where to find us when they are hungry and in a hurry near Khetwadi. We try to keep the service fast because most of our customers are on a short break.
