Polydyes Corporation

We are tucked away in Fort, specifically at Jani Chamber on Tamarind Lane. The address says 24th Main and Saraki Main Road, which can be a bit confusing for people who aren't used to the layout here. Fort is an old part of the city, and our building has that aged feel to it. We deal with dyes and colors. It’s a bit of a niche business, I suppose. The office has old wooden floors and high ceilings that make every footstep echo. We don't have a lot of modern decor; it’s mostly just shelves filled with samples and ledgers. We spend a lot of time talking to textile folks and printers. It’s not the kind of job that makes you famous, but it’s steady. Sometimes the smell of the dyes is quite strong in the morning when we open up, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We don't go for big advertisements or loud logos. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for decades. We drink a lot of coffee and keep the paperwork moving as best as we can. The traffic outside on Tamarind Lane is always a mess with the small delivery vans, so we’ve learned to be patient. We are just a small group of people doing our thing in an old corner of Mumbai.
