Poddhar Tempo Transport

Our transport business is run from A/17 in D'Souza Sadan. We’re located in Andheri East, which is a big hub for moving goods across the city. We have a few tempos that we use for shifting household things or industrial parts. It’s a family-run thing. My father started it many years ago and now we all help out with the bookings and the driving. The office is just a small room where we keep the records and the spare keys for the trucks. There’s usually a bit of grease on the floor because we do some of the basic maintenance on the vehicles ourselves in the alley nearby. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when the monsoon starts and the roads get flooded or muddy. We spend most of our day on the phone with drivers or people looking to move their furniture to a new flat. D'Souza Sadan is an old building, and the neighbors are all friendly people we've known for ages. We don't have a big fleet of trucks, just enough to handle the local orders that come in. It’s hard work, waking up early to get the first loads out before the traffic gets too bad. We don't use any fancy tracking software or apps; we just call the drivers on their mobiles to see where they are. It’s a simple way to do things, but it’s worked for us for a long time. We just want to get the stuff delivered safely.
