Our little office is tucked away in Shop 36 on the ground floor of the Heera Panna Shopping Centre. It’s right there on Bhulabhai Desai Road near Haji Ali, which is always a bit of a chaotic area with all the traffic and people moving around. We work in aquaculture, which mostly means we spend our time dealing with fish farming supplies and equipment. It’s not the kind of place with fancy carpets or a front desk. Most days, it’s just us surrounded by boxes, catalogs, and the sound of the air conditioner trying to keep up with the Mumbai heat. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to figure out why a shipment hasn’t arrived yet at Plot-738. It’s a small team here. We started this because we had an interest in how water systems work, but the reality is a lot of paperwork and tracking inventory. People stop by the shop when they need something specific for their tanks or ponds. We don't have a big sales pitch for them. We just show them what we have in stock and tell them how it works. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because of all the gear we have to keep on hand. It gets especially busy on the weekends when the shopping center is full of people, though most of them are looking for clothes or electronics, not aquaculture gear. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
