Persian Darbar Restaurant

Down in Byculla, we operate Persian Darbar Restaurant at 5 Alexander Terrace. It is located right on Dr B A Road, sitting right across from the old Palace Cinema. That cinema is a landmark everyone knows, so it makes finding us fairly easy if you are in the area. We have been in this part of Mumbai for quite a while now. The building has that old feel to it, and we try to keep things running smooth even when it gets hectic. It’s mostly just us doing our jobs, preparing the dishes, and keeping the place tidy for the next person who comes in. You won't find anything too polished here. It is just a restaurant where the cooks are busy and the servers are moving back and forth between the tables and the kitchen. We see all kinds of people coming in, from locals living nearby to folks just passing through Byculla. The street outside is always noisy with traffic, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We open up early to get things prepped and usually stay busy until late at night. There isn't a lot of talk about goals or plans, we just focus on the day at hand. It’s a simple setup. If you are near the cinema, you will see our place. We just keep our heads down and work. It's been that way for a long time and we don't expect it to change much.
