Persia Darbar Restaurant

We are located in Shop No 6 and 7 of Lily Tower on S V Road. It’s right next to the Deewan Centre in Jogeshwari West. This part of Mumbai is always moving, so there is never a quiet moment outside our door. The restaurant itself is a bit of a tight squeeze when the dinner rush starts around eight. We spend a lot of time rearranging the tables to fit more people in. The kitchen is where most of the action is, and it stays loud with the sound of fans and clinking plates until late at night. We’ve got a small staff that works pretty hard to keep up with the crowds. S V Road is always packed, so we see a lot of people walking by or stuck in traffic looking in our windows. We don’t really do much fancy talk about what we do. We just cook the food, serve it, and clean up afterwards. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, and the floor gets worn down from all the foot traffic, but it shows the place is used. It’s a bit chaotic during the weekends, and sometimes we run out of chairs for the waiting area, but we make do. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around Lily Tower over the years. It’s just a regular local spot for people in Jogeshwari West.
