You can find Pentax Engg Pvt Ltd over in Bhandup West. We are at 2/1 Ramesh Palav Chawl on Quari Road. It’s right in Samarth Nagar, which is usually quite a busy part of Mumbai-78. Our space is tucked away in the chawl, so it can be a bit noisy with the neighbors and the traffic passing by on the main road. We’ve been here for a while, working on engineering stuff and handling whatever orders come our way. The workshop is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and materials stacked up. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, there’s always a bit of metal dust or grease around, but that’s just how engineering work is. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The fan in the corner makes a lot of noise but it helps a bit. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we know how to stay out of each other's way in the small space. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big sign outside, just the address and the name. We just focus on the machines and getting the measurements right. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Life in Samarth Nagar keeps us on our toes, but we like being right here in the middle of it all. We usually close up when the sun goes down and head home through the crowded streets. It is hard work, but we like it here.
