Patel Plast

Patel Plast is tucked away at 18 Vivek Industrial Estate on Walbhat Road. Goregaon East is a busy part of the city, and Walbhat Road is usually full of trucks and delivery vans. Our place is where we handle all the plastic work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The machines for the plastic take up most of the room, so there isn’t much space for a fancy office. I usually sit on a small stool near the entrance when I’m not checking on the production. We don’t have a lot of rules about how things look, as long as the work is getting done properly. The heat from the machines can be a bit much in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. People come in, tell us what they need in terms of plastic parts, and we see how we can help. Sometimes we have to troubleshoot a machine that’s acting up, which takes up half the day. It’s just part of the routine. We are a small team and we’ve worked together for a long time. There is no corporate ladder here, just people working with plastic and trying to get through the day’s tasks. It’s a simple, local operation in the heart of Goregaon’s industrial zone, and we like it that way.
