We have been working out of the Reena Complex for a while now. Being right near the 5th Main Gate of the APMC Yard in Ghatkopar means it is always noisy and crowded around here with trucks and people. Most days we are just busy loading up the bamboo poles and the heavy light crates into the tempo. It is hard work, especially when the weather is hot or it starts raining suddenly. Our shop at 209-210 is usually cluttered with wires and different colored fabrics. We don't really have a fancy office, just a place to keep the gear. Sometimes customers come by to pick out colors for their tent or see what kind of fairy lights we have in stock. Ghatkopar is a busy place and being near the gate helps us get to venues faster. We mostly handle local functions, weddings, and small street festivals. It’s not just about the lights, it is about making sure everything stays standing up if the wind picks up. My father started doing this and now we just keep it going. There are days when we are working late into the night to finish a setup before the morning event. It is tiring but it is what we know. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. Most people just know us from seeing our truck around the neighborhood or they walk in while they are doing their regular shopping at the market. We just try to do a decent job so the client is happy enough with the way the tent looks.
