Our office is in the Elphinstone Buildings over in the Fort area, specifically at number 6 on Vir Nariman Road, Mumbai. If you know this part of town, you know it has those old, tall buildings with thick walls and high ceilings. It feels quite different from the new glass towers you see elsewhere. Inside, we have a lot of old wooden furniture that has seen better days, but it still works for us. We handle a variety of engineering and service-related tasks from here. Most of the morning is spent checking emails and coordinating with the guys out on the field or at the sites. It can get pretty loud outside with the traffic and the people walking by, but once you’re inside the building, it calms down a bit. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team. It is mostly just us handling the technical side of things and making sure the paperwork is in order for the services we provide. Lunch usually comes from one of the nearby stalls, and we often eat at our desks while finishing up a report or a quote. The lift in the building is one of those old ones that sometimes has a mind of its own, so we often just take the stairs. It is a very grounded place to work, focusing on getting the engineering jobs done without much fuss. We’ve been at this for a long time and the routine keeps us steady.
