Patel Auto Clutch

Out here in Dahisar, near Devanahalli Road, things are quite industrial and busy. We are located in Gala No 13 of the Krishna Industrial area, just off the Old Madras Road. If you come by, you’ll see we are usually covered in grease and oil. That is just the nature of working with clutches and auto parts. It is a tough job and the shed gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the roof. We spend our time taking things apart and putting them back together. Clutches are tricky; you have to get the tension just right or the vehicle won't shift properly. We work on all sorts of vehicles that come through this part of Dahisar, from small cars to bigger tempos. Most of our customers are drivers who need their vehicles back on the road as fast as possible because their livelihood depends on it. We don't have a waiting lounge with magazines or coffee. Usually, people just stand around or sit on a plastic stool while we work. It’s noisy with the sounds of wrenches and hammers hitting metal. We’ve been in this gala for a good while now. We know the other mechanics nearby and we sometimes borrow tools from each other when something unusual comes in. It’s a hard-working environment. We don't make things sound better than they are. We just fix the parts and move on to the next job. It is just honest mechanical work for the local transport crowd.
