You can find Parryware Roca Pvt Ltd. at Unit No 1-C in the Laxmi Industrial Estate, which is off New Link Road in Andheri West. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise from trucks and people loading pallets. Our unit is basically a large warehouse space with a small section partitioned off for the office work. It’s dusty most of the time, and you can hear the hum of the machinery from the units next door. We deal with a lot of heavy crates and ceramic items, so there’s a lot of careful lifting involved. The air in Andheri can be heavy, especially with all the construction going on nearby. We spend our days checking through shipments and making sure the crates are stacked safely so nothing tips over. The floor is concrete and stays relatively cool, which is a relief in the summer. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to for a fancy meeting. It’s a working warehouse through and through. We have a small table where we take our lunch, usually listening to the radio or just the sounds of the New Link Road traffic.
