Rj Fashion Co. is tucked away in the B-3 unit of the Amit Industrial Estate. This is over in Parel East, on Dr. S. S. Rao Road. If you know the area, we are quite close to Gandhi Hospital. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai to be in. There is always the sound of ambulances or trucks moving in and out of the industrial estates nearby. Working in an estate like this is different from having a shop on a main street. It’s more about the work and less about the decoration. We have our space here where we manage all the fashion items we handle. It can get a bit cramped with all the boxes and the sewing machines, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent checking orders and making sure everything is where it should be. We don't have a flashy storefront because we don't really need one in this kind of location. People who need to find us usually do. The air in Parel can be a bit heavy with the city life, but we are used to it. We’ve been in Amit Industrial Estate for a while now, and we know all the security guards and the other people working in the nearby units. It’s a community of workers just trying to get things done. We just keep our heads down and focus on the garments.
