Life Line

You can find us at No. 5 Rukhmani Niwas, which is in the Gokhale Society Cross Road in Parel. Parel is a crowded part of the city, and our street is no exception. There are always people walking by and cars honking. Life Line is a small operation, and we fit everything into this one space. The building is older, so the walls are thick and it stays relatively cool inside. We have a lot of files and books stacked up on the shelves. It’s not perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. The entrance is a bit tucked away, so sometimes new people walk right past it. We’ve got a small bench outside where we sit sometimes to get some fresh air. The neighbor’s cat often wanders into our office looking for a scrap of food. We don't mind. The daily grind consists of answering emails and checking our inventory. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to get through the day’s tasks without too much trouble. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to wait for the technician to come by. The local market is just a short walk away, which is handy for picking up snacks. It’s a lived-in kind of place, full of the sounds and smells of the neighborhood. We just do our bit. We've got a leaky tap in the bathroom that drips rhythmically, but you get used to the sound after a while.
