Parel Printing Press

Parel Printing Press is located in Shop 1 at Ganesh Smruti. We are over in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad, quite close to the F/South Municipal Office. It’s a bit confusing because of the name, but we’ve been here in Gujarat for quite a while now. The shop is usually full of the smell of ink and the sound of the printers running in the back. We do all kinds of paper work, from small cards to larger batches for local offices. It’s a bit of a mess with stacks of paper everywhere and half-finished jobs waiting to be trimmed. We don’t have a fancy front office, just a counter where people bring their files or sketches. I spend a lot of time fixing the machines when they jam or making sure the colors look right. It’s a hands-on job and my fingers are usually stained with ink by the end of the shift. We get a lot of walk-ins because we’re so close to the municipal building. People need things copied or printed for their paperwork there. We just keep our heads down and get the printing done as fast as we can. It’s a busy little shop, but we like the pace of it. Nothing too complicated, just good old-fashioned printing. Sometimes the machines are temperamental, but we always manage to get the job out the door before the day is over.
