Parekh Dye Chem. is located on the first floor of Madiar Mansion, at 16/18 Masjid Bunder West 9. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit steep for some people. We deal with dyes and chemicals, mostly for industrial use in factories. The office is small and filled with old ledgers and little sample bottles of colors. It smells a bit like chemicals sometimes, which is just how it is in this trade. Masjid Bunder is a very crowded area, so getting here can be a bit of a squeeze through the crowds. We’ve been here for a long time. We aren't a big modern company with glass walls or computers everywhere. It’s just a traditional trading spot. We talk to suppliers and customers all day on the phone or in person at the desk. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about things like that. We just provide what the factories and workshops need for their production. It’s a straightforward business with no fluff. We keep track of our stock and make sure things get delivered to the right places. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, but it suits us and our customers.
